Capitol City DJs™ Celebrating 15 years!

When I started this business back in 2004 with my best friend Brandon, I never realized what this would become. I had been a DJ since I was 15 years old, and played clubs and parties all over Michigan. As an original member of DJs 2000, I had stepped away from the mainstream of DJing, and focused on my other business. In 2004 when Brandon and I were talking, we knew we could create a DJ company that was reliable, awesome, and fun. We searched to make sure the name we wanted to utilize was available, and it was, so we started Capitol City DJs™! We started it because of the horror stories we continued to hear of DJs that repeated songs over and over, never showed up, were cheesy, etc. The list goes on and on of the bad things we were hearing, and we knew we could do better. Now looking back spanning 15 years, over 4700 events, and having such amazing and positive reviews, shows that the vision we saw all those years ago, we not only beat but exceeded our own expectations. 2 Years after the formation of the company Brandon decided to step down, to help raise his family, it was a tough decision but one I truly respected. Even now when we talk he has been happy to see what the company has become. I won't lie there has been many bumps in the road, losing great DJs so they could pursue other careers, having to defend our trademarked name and reputation, and continuing to stay on the forefront of what the industry has changed too, but we persevered because we truly believe in this company and the great things we provide everyone of our clients. We still get calls weekly about these fly by night DJ companies that take peoples deposit and run, and Brides desperate to have a DJ last minute, these stories break our hearts, and we have bent over backwards to try and make something work for them, to ensure their big days aren't ruined. I have been fortunate with everything CCDJS has brought to myself and my DJs. Looking towards the future I am excited to see great things coming, always getting the latest and greatest new innovations in the industry, and creating many more moments in the future.
